Faux feeling Something done to me
Blamed
Not a feeling: a thought about what someone did.
Also known as accused
‘I think you are holding me responsible for something that is not mine, or not mine alone.’
Why it’s not a feeling
Feeling blamed is really thinking it: ‘I think you’re holding me responsible’ makes the same point. The word reports what you believe someone has decided about you, usually that a fault is yours when it isn’t, or isn’t yours alone. What stirs inside may be confusion, hurt or anger.

Needs
When these needs aren’t met
Saying it as a feeling
‘I feel blamed.’
When you told the client the launch had slipped because of my section, I felt confused and hurt, because I need fairness and shared reality.
