Faux feeling A need dressed up as a feeling
Unsupported
Not a feeling: a need, named as met or missing.
‘I think I am on my own with this and nobody is helping.’
Why it’s not a feeling
Unsupported names the need for support as missing. It says you are on your own with something and nobody is helping, which is your reading of what others are and are not doing. Closer to home, under that reading, you may simply be overwhelmed, lonely or sad.

Needs
When these needs aren’t met
Saying it as a feeling
‘I feel unsupported.’
When I asked for help with the move and three people said they were busy, I felt overwhelmed and lonely, because I need support and cooperation.
