Faux feeling A need dressed up as a feeling
Supported
Not a feeling: a need, named as met or missing.
‘I think someone is helping me carry this.’
Why it’s not a feeling
Supported names the need for support and declares it met. It describes what you believe others are doing for you, helping you carry something, rather than how you are inside. Say ‘I think I’m supported’ and it still reads well, which marks it as a thought; the feeling might be relief, or fresh encouragement.

Saying it as a feeling
‘I feel supported.’
When you took the children to school all week while I studied for my exam, I felt relieved and encouraged, because I need support and cooperation.
